“How much is SEO?” is the first question almost every business owner in the Philippines asks us, and the honest answer is: it depends on how competitive your market is and how much work your website needs. That answer is useless without numbers, so here are the ranges we see in the market in 2026, what each level actually buys, and how to tell a fair quote from a risky one.

Typical SEO price ranges in the Philippines

Agency retainers in the Philippines are usually billed monthly, in pesos, with a minimum term of three to six months. Across published agency price lists and the quotes our clients bring us, the bands look roughly like this:

Budget per monthTypical fitWhat it usually covers
₱10,000 – ₱20,000Freelancer or starter packageBasic on-page fixes, a few blog posts, simple reporting
₱25,000 – ₱60,000Local SMEs, single-city businessesTechnical SEO, local SEO, 2–6 pieces of content, monthly strategy
₱60,000 – ₱150,000E-commerce and multi-branch brandsLarger content programmes, link earning, CRO, dedicated strategist
₱150,000+Enterprise and national brandsMultiple markets, large sites, in-house team support

One-off SEO audits typically sit between ₱15,000 and ₱80,000 depending on site size. Website builds are priced separately, which is why many businesses end up juggling a web designer and an SEO agency who never talk to each other.

What drives the price up (or down)

1. How competitive your keywords are

Ranking a dental clinic in a provincial city is a very different job from ranking a condo developer for “condo for sale Makati”. The more established competitors already on page one, the more content and authority you need to overtake them.

2. The state of your website

A slow WordPress site with broken pages, no mobile optimisation and duplicate content needs fixing before any content effort pays off. Sometimes a rebuild is cheaper than patching.

3. How many locations or products you have

Ten branches need ten optimised Google Business Profiles and ten location pages. An online store with 2,000 products needs category and product templates done right at scale.

4. Content volume

Content is usually the biggest variable cost. Well-researched articles and landing pages written by people who understand your industry cost more than generic posts, and they are the ones that rank.

Red flags in cheap SEO packages

  • Guaranteed first-place rankings. Google does not sell organic positions, and no agency controls them. A promise like this is a sales line, not a plan.
  • “Hundreds of backlinks per month.” Bulk links from unrelated or low-quality sites can do more harm than good. Look for agencies that earn links through useful content and outreach.
  • Reports full of rankings, none of leads. Rankings for keywords nobody searches are easy to show. Ask how the report connects to enquiries and sales.
  • You don't own the accounts. Your Google Analytics, Search Console and Business Profile should be in your company's name, always.
  • Long lock-ins with no exit. A 90-day first term is reasonable because SEO takes time to show. A 12-month contract with no performance review is not.

How to budget if you're starting from zero

If you don't have a proper website yet, put most of your first-month budget into building one that is fast, mobile-friendly and structured around what your customers search. Then shift spend toward SEO and ads as the site starts to earn traffic. A sensible path for a small business looks like this:

  1. Month 1: launch a lead-ready website with on-page SEO, tracking and a Google Business Profile.
  2. Months 2–3: start a modest Google Ads or Facebook campaign to get enquiries while SEO builds.
  3. Months 3–6: grow content and local SEO; reduce ad spend on keywords you now rank for organically.

The question to ask any agency

Instead of “how much?”, ask “what will you do in the first 90 days, and how will I know it's working?” A good agency answers with a specific plan, a list of priorities and the numbers they'll report on. If you'd like that answer for your own site, our free SEO audit gives you a prioritised list of fixes and a realistic estimate, with no obligation.
